<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an SSB (single side band) modulation circuit which enables reduction in time and labor for design, and which can prevent occurrence of spurious caused by a DC component mixed in an input signal. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A Hilbert transform circuit 10 provided to the input side of an SSB modulation circuit 2 performs, on a frequency axis, transformation for multiplying an input signal in a positive frequency domain by +1, multiplying the input signal in a negative frequency domain by -1, and multiplying a DC component by 0 for outputting and after the DC component mixed in the input signal is eliminated, an SSB modulation signal is generated and output by the SSB modulation circuit 2.
