The subject invention concerns materials and methods for controlling pests such as mosquito larvae. In one embodiment, methods of the invention comprise contacting a pest with an effective amount of a Bti toxin and a Trypsin Modulating Oostatic Factor (TMOF). The Bti and TMOF can be provided in cells that are consumed by the pest. The subject invention also concerns compositions comprising one or more Bti toxins and TMOF.
