METHOD FOR PREPARING A PROINSULIN PREPARATION FOR PERORAL USE

The invention relates to pharmacology and medicine, in particular to endocrinology, and describes a method for preparing a proinsulin preparation, which is comprised in that proinsulin is added to a final concentration of 1-10 mg/ml to a 1-50% aqueous solution of polyethyleneglycol with a mol. wt. of 0.4-40 kDa, previously irradiated with ionizing radiation in a dose of 1.0-5.0 Mrad in an acidic medium at pH 2.5-4.5 in the presence of cations of calcium and/or zinc to a final concentration of 5-10 mM, with a polyethyleneglycol:proinsulin ratio of (1-500):1, and the mixture is stirred until a homogeneous translucent or slightly opalescent solution is obtained, which allows the process of preparing the proinsulin preparation to be simplified and makes it possible to use it perorally as a hypoglycaemic means and to retain the activity at pH 2-3 at room temperature.
