PURPOSE: A fastening nut and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to easily control the size of a fastening nut through a plate molding method. CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing method of a fastening nut comprises steps of: cutting a plate(10) to the fixed size, drawing the cut plate to form a cylindrical body(10A) with open top, drawing the lower part to form a threaded part(10A'), reducing the thickness of the cylindrical body except for the threaded part and forming a flange part(20) on the top of the body, penetrating the bottom of the threaded part, pressing the flange part to form a fixing protrusion(13) on the upper side of the flange part, and cutting the outer side of the flange part.
