NEW PREPARATION OF INTERMEDIATES OF PEMETREXED

PURPOSE: A manufacturing method of methyl 4-(3-formylpropyl)benzoate for synthesizing a pemetrexed is provided to economically manufacture the methyl 4-(3-formylpropyl)benzoate, and to simplify the reaction process with an easy reaction condition. CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing method of methyl 4-(3-formylpropyl)benzoate marked with chemical formula 1 for synthesizing a pemetrexed comprises a step of reacting methyl 4-(bromomethyl)benzoate and 2-propenal, with a radical initiator and a proton donor inside an organic solvent. The radical initiator is selected from the group consisting of azobisisobutyronitrile, 4,4`-azobis-(4-cyanovaleric acid), benzoyl peroxide, peroxyacetic acid, and peroxybenzoic acid.
