<p>A mounting structure for mounting an item on a furniture frame has a frame length of the furniture frame formed to have spaced branches extending spaced from one another to define a gap for receiving a mounting portion of the item in which the mounting portion of the item is supported in a lever relationship engaging with an over-side of one of the branches and an under-side of the other of the branches. In this way the item may be supported in cantilever fashion to one side of the frame. The free end of the lever portion of the mounting portion of the item can be load bearing whilst only being secured to the mounting structure in cantilever fashion because of the load bearing and turning moment forces balanced by engagement with both the over-side of one of the branches and an under-side of the other of the branches.</p> |
