The dispenser (1) has a media container (2) containing fluid material. An accommodation chamber (12) of the media container is connected with a dispensing capillary (4). A pressure source subjects the chamber with gas pressure for dispensing drop of the fluid material. A pressure valve i.e. 3-way valve (6), connects the chamber with the pressure source. An outlet connection of the valve is connected with the pressure source or environment. The capillary and the container are exchangeable. A suction device (8) sucks the drops provided at a mouth region (25) of the capillary. An independent claim is also included for a method for measuring drops dispensed from a dispenser.
