A beacon-based network, a method for joining a network and a method and apparatus for transporting frames are provided. Wherein, the beacon-based network includes: during the communication between a device node and a coordinator node, the superframe time sequence indication information is carried in a data frame and/or a command frame and is transmitted; a node to be associated monitors packets transported in the network; when the beacon is monitored, said node to be associated applies for joining the network according to said beacon; when said data frame or command frame is monitored, said node to be associated obtains the beacon information including the superframe time sequence indication information from said monitored data frame or command frame, and applies for joining the network through said monitored network operation channel according to said beacon information. The above-mentioned technical solution can reduce the time for the node to be associated monitoring the beacon, and disperse the time at which the node to be associated applies for joining the network. |
