PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wear-resistant rail which is suitably used for a curving truck section and is excellent in wear-resistance and surface-damaging resistance, and to provide a method for advantageously manufacturing the wear-resistant rail. SOLUTION: The wear-resistant rail contains, by mass, 0.5-1.0% C, 0.1-1.0% Si, 0.1-1.5% Mn,≤0.030% P,≤0.020% S,≤0.005% Al, >0.25% to 1.5% Cr,≤0.0020% O and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities, and has the specific resistant within the range of 21-24ρμΩcm. Wherein, a micro-structure in the range from the top part to 10 mm depth of the rail is a pearlitic structure having 0.08-0.25μm the lamella interval, and the fatigue-cracking transmission velocity is≤2.5×10<SP>-8</SP>m/cycle when the stress-intensity factorΔK is 15 MPa√m.
