PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antibacterial member stably supplying metal ion and sufficiently exhibiting stable antibacterial action for a long time. SOLUTION: The antibacterial member is a porous material having a three-dimensional network structure, and the porous material comprises an Ag alloy containing≥0.01 wt.% and≤0.1 wt.% of P and the remaining part of Ag and inevitable impurities. The member further contains≥0.01 wt.% and≤0.1 wt.% of Ca, and the specific surface area of the porous material is≥0.001 m<SP>2</SP>/g and≤0.2 m<SP>2</SP>/g. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
