摘要	<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector or the like easily adjusting projection posture when it is installed movably, and surely avoiding an increase in size or weight when it is installed fixedly. Ž<P>SOLUTION: Since a pedestal unit 10b incorporating a posture adjusting device 14 is separated from the projector body 10a when the projector is installed fixedly such as it is suspended from the ceiling, the size or the weight of the projector 10 is decreased. When the projector is installed movably such as it is placed on a desk or the floor or the like, the pedestal unit 10b, that is, the posture adjusting device 14 is combined with the projector body 10a in an appropriate state by using a positioning device 17. After combining the pedestal unit 10b, that is, the posture adjusting device 14 with the projector body 10a, the projection posture of the projector body 10a is stably adjusted to the desired state by the posture adjusting device 14.
