PURPOSE: A tray cover locking apparatus for a vehicle is provided to reduce manufacturing costs of a tray by stably preventing a tray cover from opening due to external shock without separate components. CONSTITUTION: A tray cover locking apparatus for a vehicle comprises a button assembly(300). A button assembly is composed of a button assembly housing(310), a strike(320), a button lock(330), a hinge pin(340), a button body(350), and a spring(360). The button assembly housing is fixed to the front upper end of the tray housing(100). The strike is installed on the front of a button assembly housing and moves vertically. The button lock is installed on the strike and rotates longitudinally. The hinge pin passes through the left side and right side of the button lock. The hinge pin supports the longitudinal turning of the button lock. The button body is installed in the front of the strike moves forward and backward.
