<p>A video projector for displaying a picture based on a video signal. The video projector includes a first LCD panel (22) for red light, a second LCD panel (32) for green light, and a third LCD panel (42) for blue light. A light source (1) emits light toward the first to third LCD panels (22, 32, 42). A modulated light computer (55) determines a correction coefficient (COE) for reducing the amount of light emitted from the light source (1) toward the first to third LCD panels (22, 32, 42) when temperature load of at least one of the first to third LCD panels increases. An emitted light amount control unit (56) corrects the video signal with the correction coefficient (COE) and controls the amount of light emitted from the light source (1) toward the first to third LCD panels (22, 32, 42).</p> |
