PURPOSE: A dust collecting apparatus of a vacuum cleaner is provided to minimize the flow path between a dust collector and a suction motor by discharging dust-removed air to the suction motor through the bottom of the dust collector. CONSTITUTION: A dust collecting apparatus of a vacuum cleaner comprises a dust separation chamber, a dust collection chamber, and an exhaust guide duct. The exhaust guide duct guides the air exhausted from the dust separation chamber to an air vent(16c) and includes first through third ducts. The first duct guides the intake air exhausted from the dust separation chamber downward. The second duct is extended to the inside of the dust separation chamber. The third duct connects the second duct to the air vent.
