PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an anisotropic oxide magnetic material having high properties by improving the orientation to a magnetic field in wet forming, when the anisotropic oxide magnetic material such as an anisotropic ferrite sintered magnet is produced by a wet forming method using water, which is environmentally and costly advantageous. SOLUTION: The method of producing the anisotropic oxide magnetic material comprises a wet-pulverizing process for wet pulverizing using a slurry containing an oxide magnetic powder and water and a forming process for forming an anisotropic formed body by wet forming the slurry subjected to the pulverization process in a magnetic field. In the wet pulverization process, a fine powder different from the oxide magnetic powder is added to the slurry to be pulverized, and after the time corresponding to 20% of the total pulverization time has elapsed, a salt of a polycarboxylic acid is added as a dispersant to the slurry by at least 20 min before the pulverization is finished. |
