PURPOSE: A system for reducing power consumption of DVR is provided to perform image recording about monitoring neighboring environment during long time and damage of a vehicle or a theft by only a battery power, thereby preventing the damage of the vehicle or the theft when parking for a long time. CONSTITUTION: A data compression unit(31) compresses an image signal of a camera unit(20) into image data. A motion sensing unit(32) detects the motion in the image data. A recording unit(30) records the compressed image data. A power unit(12) supplies a power to the camera unit and the recoding unit. A power/system control unit control unit controls supplying a power about the camera unit and the recording device unit.
