<p>PURPOSE: A power transfer device for a water pump is provided to minimize the generation of carbon dioxide resulting from incomplete combustion by reducing warming up time. CONSTITUTION: A power transfer device for a water pump comprises a pulley shaft, a pulley(144), field coil assembly, a driving shaft(116), a hub(120), a leaf spring(130), and a disc(128). A shaft supporting hole is formed to pass through the inside of the pulley shaft. The pulley is installed on the pulley shaft to be able to rotate by the driving force of the engine. The field coil assembly generates the attracting magnetic flux by the supply of the power. The driving shaft passes through the shaft supporting hole and comprises an impeller making the cooling water flow. The hub comprises an shaft inserting part(122) into which the driving shaft is pressed, and a flange(124) projected from the outer surface of the shaft inserting part to the centrifugal direction. The leaf spring is formed from an elastic material. The disc is coupled to the edge of the leaf spring, selectively makes tight contact with one side of the pulley by the attracting magnetic flux of the field coil assembly and rotates integrally with the pulley.</p> |
