PURPOSE: A portable device including a solar cell and a power control method thereof are provided to use a portable terminal regardless of a place and environment by performing the battery charging and power supply. CONSTITUTION: If a portable terminal is turned on, a power control unit(210) supplies the power of a battery(220) to a main control unit(160). The power control unit supplies collected power of a solar cell unit(230) to the main control unit with the battery power. If the portable terminal is turned off, the power control unit isolates the power supply of the battery. The power control unit uses collected power of the solar cell for charging a battery.
