Teletext page memorising system has a TV memory circuit (20) with a digital word memory (24). The received digital words page reference number is extracted, and a control determines if the page is demanded, together with a memory step. There is an evaluation step to determine if the page should be memorized as a function of the free memory space and the importance of the page. The evaluation step follows the control step and the memory step follows this if required.
