PURPOSE: An optical finger print recognition system is provided to completely solve image distortion by using a total reflection prism. CONSTITUTION: A full-reflection prism module has a fingerprint recognition plane and comprises two vertical prisms. The vertical prisms totally reflect the light reflected from a fingerprint to an image sensor. An imaging lens captures a fingerprint image projected from the total reflection prism module. The image sensor converts the imaged fingerprint image into an electric signal. The oblique sides of two vertical prisms contact each other. The refraction rate(n1) of a first prism is larger than the refraction rate(n2) of the second prism.
