PURPOSE: A bank precharge signal generation circuit is provided to reduce the peak current consumed at the initiation point of all bank precharge operation by sequentially precharging two banks without precharging all banks at the same time when operating all bank precharge operation. CONSTITUTION: A precharge signal generating unit(1) generates a second precharge signal being delayed than a first precharge signal pulse in response to the all bank precharge signal. A bank precharge signal generator(2) generates the all bank precharge signal, and first and second bank precharge signals. A delay signal generator(10) generates the first and second delay precharge signals by delaying the first precharge signal as much as a delay section determined by the all bank precharge signal.
