FIELD: machine building. ^ SUBSTANCE: elements-concentrators in from of grooves, teeth, and lugs with sharp edges are made on magnetic-conducting surface during sealing gap between two surfaces out of magnet-conducting and non-magnetic materials by means of magnetic fluid. Surfaces of these elements-concentrators are arranged to facilitate maximal approach of sharp edges of the elements-concentrators to non-magnetic surface. Magnetic fluid is introduced into the gap between surfaces, whereupon magnetic field is imposed on the gap; magnetic field vector is perpendicular to plane of the gap. ^ EFFECT: by degree raised maintaining capacity of gap. ^ 3 dwg
