PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily maintain the high speed property of access to data whose use frequency is high. SOLUTION: In an information processing apparatus 100 connected to an external storage device 200 in which data are stored, and equipped with a memory 120 which can access at a higher speed than access to the external storage device 200, data are divided into groups of prescribed unit, and stored in the memory 120, and if time when access to the group stored in the memory 120 is not continuously performed is matched with a preset first elapsed time, the group is compressed, and stored in the memory 120, and if the time when the access to the group is not continuously performed is matched with a preset second elapsed time, the group is moved to the external storage device 200.
