PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for an oxygen-absorbing resin composition having excellent oxygen-absorbing speed, suppressing oxidation of a thermoplastic resin by a transition metal salt even after absorption of oxygen, and not generating uncomfortable odor. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method for the oxygen-absorbing resin composition includes (1) a step of previously melting/kneading a thermoplastic resin (A) substantially having a carbon-carbon double bond only in a main chain and the transition metal salt (C) to obtain the resin composition (M), and (2) a step of melting/kneading the resin composition (M) and a thermoplastic resin (B). When a solubility parameter of the thermoplastic resin (A) calculated by an equation of Fedors is denoted as SP(A) and a solubility parameter of the thermoplastic resin (B) is denoted as SP(B), difference of these solubility parameters satisfies SP(B)-SP(A)≤3.0.
