<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve structure for a shock absorber which improves ride comfort in a vehicle in which a sharp variation of damping coefficient can be eased. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A valve structure for shock absorber includes a valve disk 1 formed with ports 2, a circular leaf valve 3 stacked on the valve disk 1 to close the ports 2, and a biasing means 4, which biases the leaf valve 3 in the direction of closing the ports 2. In this valve structure, the biasing means 4 includes an elastic body 11, which biases the leaf valve 3, and a circular insertion member 10 inserted between the elastic body 11 and the leaf valve 3. The insertion member 10, which has a plurality of projections 10c arranged side by side on the circumference, brings the projections 10c into contact with the leaf valve 3.
