<p>The device (1) has a roofing element (2) including a vertex (2a) for roofing a base surface. The roofing element has a flexible protective skin (4) that is fixed in an eaves area (41) of the roofing element. The eaves area lies at a depth in the vertex. Pole units (23-31) are provided in the eaves area and extend in a vertical direction up to height of the vertex. A transverse clamping element (20) is arranged between the pole units and holds the vertex. The pole units and the clamping element are aligned with respect to each other.</p>
