The device furthermore has a longitudinal sample removal element (20; 44; 60; 80), having an absorbent sample holder (22; 51; 61; 82), wherein the sample removal element (20; 44; 60; 80) can be inserted into the receptacle (12; 72). Furthermore, there is a central elevation (30; 79) in the receptacle (12; 72) on the floor (15; 75) thereof via which the sample can be introduced from the sample holder (22; 51; 61, 82) to the at least one test strip (18) by compression thereof on the elevation (16; 79).
