<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanism for controlling image data received from a facsimile machine of the other party so as not hot have output, depending on whether a caller name information is notified by a communication previous information notification service. Ž<P>SOLUTION: When a calling phone number is notified from a facsimile machine of the other party by a communication previous information notifying service and thereafter, the caller phone number is determined to be registered in a blacklist (S4), a modem 12 rejects the incoming call (S5). When the caller phone number is determined as being not registered in the blacklist, an SOC part 9 further, determines whether name display information is notified (S6). In this case, when the name display information is determined to be notified, received image data are recorded (S7); and when the name display information is determined as being not notified, a memory substitution reception process is carried out (S9).
