PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely reinforce an air-permeable member 50 and to suppress the deformation, with respect to an apparatus 10 of laminating a liquid absorbent material 2 on the air-permeable member 50 and manufacturing an absorbing body 1 relating to an absorbent article by distributing a gas 3 including the liquid absorbent material 2 in the thickness direction of the air-permeable member 50 covering the opening 27a of a mold member 27. SOLUTION: The apparatus of manufacturing the absorbing body includes a reinforcing member 60 for reinforcing the air-permeable member 50 by being piled up on the air-permeable member 50 in the thickness direction. The reinforcing member 60 is a mesh body composed by connecting a first wire 61 and a second wire 62 crossing each other at the intersections CP60.
