HYDROPHILIZING AGENT, ALUMINUM-CONTAINING METAL MATERIAL AND ALUMINUM ALLOY HEAT EXCHANGER

Disclosed is a hydrophilizing agent for forming a coating film which imparts excellent wettability by dew water and antibacterial properties to the surface of an aluminum-containing metal material. Specifically disclosed is a hydrophilizing agent comprising a chitosan derivative (component (B)) wherein a compound (component (A)), which carries an electron-withdrawing group having, at the a-position thereof, a group that has an unsaturation between carbon atoms, is added to all of the primary amino groups of chitosan or a part of the same.  A coating film formed by this hydrophilizing agent imparts wettability by dew water and antibacterial properties to an aluminum-containing metal material that is treated therewith.
