PURPOSE: A display panel and a liquid crystal display device including the same are provided to have resistance from static electricity. CONSTITUTION: The second substrate(200) comprises a common electrode and an electrostatic preventing unit. The electrostatic preventing unit is electrically separated from the common electrode. The electrostatic preventing unit surrounds the common electrode. The electrostatic preventing unit is connected with a ground voltage through the first substrate. The electrostatic preventing unit prevents static electricity influencing the common electrode. A liquid crystal layer is located between the first substrate and the second substrate.
