A configuration in which a head lamp case and a lighting device for a light source are integrated to ensure the waterproof property of a head lamp by attaching the lighting device to the opening provided at the bottom of the head lamp case for housing the light source has a problem that the water having entered the head lamp case and pooled on the bottom surface inside the case flows into the output connector portion of the lighting device, thereby causing the output connecter to be susceptible to water immersion. Hence, provided is a lighting device for a head lamp light source, the output connector of which is not susceptible to water immersion. When the lighting device for a head lamp light source is attached to the head lamp case, the output connector is formed in such a manner that the bottom of the connecting port to which cables of the output connector are connected is arranged at a position higher than the bottom surface inside the head lamp case.
