PURPOSE: A food waste strainer for a sink is provided to remove moisture from food waste put in a sink and separately store the dehydrated food waste. CONSTITUTION: A food waste strainer for a sink comprises a rotary filter plate, a main body, a tilt maintainer, a partition wall, and a storage vessel. The rotary filter plate is installed and moved in the main body and divided into a first and a second section. A drain hole is vertically formed in the first section, but not in the second section. The main body is installed in a drain(120) of a sink(110). The tilt maintainer maintains the angle of the rotary filter plate so that the first section is positioned lower than the second section to block the upper and lower spaces of the main body. The partition wall is formed across the lower space of the main body to divide the lower space into a drain section and a storage section. The storage vessel is installed in the storage section of the main body to store food waste. |
