PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile terminal device which improves user-friendliness by controlling various operation content of the mobile terminal device in accordance with a posture of the mobile terminal device.

SOLUTION: The mobile terminal device 5 for reading/writing data from/to a record carrier includes: a storage part 17 storing operation content of the mobile terminal device 5 in a power-on state in association with angles and/or directions; a posture detection part 19 which detects an angle and/or a direction of inclination of a posture of the mobile terminal device 5 with respect to a predetermined reference posture; and a control part 11 which reads out operation content corresponding to the angle and/or the direction of inclination detected by the posture detection part 19, from the storage part 17 and causes the mobile terminal device 5 to operate in accordance with the operation content.
