PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing system and the like in which settings by share users accessible to a folder of an information processing apparatus can be taken over along with data transmitted to an image processing apparatus and stored in it, wherein the image processing system automatically performs the setting for enabling users, who are share users of a folder of the information processing apparatus but are not registered in the image processing apparatus, to access data of the image processing apparatus in the case where users who are capable of logging in the image processing apparatus is registered beforehand.

SOLUTION: The information processing apparatus 4 transmits the designated data and share user information indicative of share users set to a shared folder storing the designated data therein to the image processing apparatus 2. In the case where it is decided that non-registered user information is present in respective share user information indicated in the share user information, the image processing apparatus 2, which has received these data and share user information, issues a temporary password to a corresponding user to temporarily register guest user information.
