<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To optimize update of each individual control parameter. <P>SOLUTION: For a plurality of control parameters which are stored in the nonvolatile memory of an image forming apparatus control part, are referred to when executing control processing and can also change values, the optimum update condition corresponding to the contents and characteristics is selected/set beforehand from a plurality of kinds of update conditions (one example is indicated in (A)-(E)) for each individual control parameter, and an optimum update reference value is also set beforehand for the control parameter to which the update condition requiring the update reference value is applied. When updating the version of a control program, the propriety of updating is determined on the basis of the update condition for each individual control parameter for the individual control parameter, and the control parameter decided to be updatable is rewritten to an initial value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
