<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To continuously change the thickness of a coating layer in an axial direction to improve the curving operability of an angle part and to control not to cause dispersion in curving characteristics of the angle part depending on products. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In a method for manufacturing insertion part of endoscope, although the thickness of the coating layer 15 of the angle part 2b changes in the axial direction, a state of having always the same wall thickness in a position of a connection part to a soft section 2a is obtained to prevent a change in the curving operation characteristics of the angle part 2b. The coating layer 15 is mounted, but when cutting an extra portion after mounting, an annular projecting part 16 is integrally formed on the outer peripheral surface when forming the coating layer 15 so as to be a standard of a cutting position, and a position separated by a predetermined space onto the proximal end side from the projecting part 16 is cut, and an extra length portion on the proximal end side of the coating layer 15 is further eliminated.
