PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suspension device, in which car height can be adjusted, and in which temperature rise of a motor can be restricted. SOLUTION: This suspension device is provided with a motion converting mechanism H to convert relative motion between a car body side member and an axle side member into rotary motion, and the motor M to which the rotary motion is transmitted. Electromagnetic force generated at the motor M is used as control force to restrict relative movement between the car body side member and the axle side member.
