<p>PURPOSE: A transmitting/receiving system and a method of processing data are provided to receive MPEG data and additional data. CONSTITUTION: An error correction encoder performs error correction encoding about at least one first data of audio data or video data. A data interleaver(21) performs interleaving about the encoded first data. A multiplexer(24) multiplexes at least one second data of the audio data or video data and the interleaved first data.
