Fuel injector with length-adjustable coupler concept

The injector (10) has an injecting valve for closing or opening an injection opening. The injecting valve is hydraulically controllable by a valve rod (22) and a hydraulic valve (48). The valve rod is connected with the actuator by a hydraulic coupler (54). The hydraulic coupler has a coupling area (30) and a coupling casing (32) that is designed as a two-piece part. The casing has a casing part (64) and a spring seat part (66), where the casing part partly encloses the coupling area. The spring seat part has a spring seat (74) for subjecting the coupling casing with spring force.
