The circuit arrangement (20) has input to which AC voltage from electronic transformer (10) for low-voltage halogen lamp is applied as input, and output connected to a load. The storage circuits (210,220) comprises inductances (L1,L2), capacitances (C1,C2) and a diode network. The storage circuit (210) is charged during positive half cycle of input AC voltage and discharged during negative half cycle of input AC voltage. The storage circuit (220) is charged during negative half cycle of input AC voltage and discharged during positive half cycle of input AC voltage. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) retrofit lamp; and (2) lighting system.
