ROBOT CLEANER HAVING LIGHT CONDENSER AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING POWER CHARGING USING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A robot cleaner having a light condenser and a power charging method using the same are provided to reduce the size of a battery by providing power through a regular charging process. CONSTITUTION: A robot cleaner(100) comprises a main body, a light condenser(120), a charging unit(125), a driving unit(150), a sensing unit(130), and a controller(140). A dust suction unit(155) of the main body compulsorily sucks the dust. The light condenser condenses the sunlight. The charging unit stores the condensed sunlight as the electric energy. The driving unit supplies driving force in order that the main body horizontally moves. The sensing unit comprises an optical sensor(132) and a distance sensor(136). The optical sensor senses the presence of the sunlight. The distance sensor recognizes the object from the moving route of the main body. According to the stored energy, the controller controls the light condenser, the driving unit and the sensor to condense the solar energy in the charging unit.
