A METAL FRACTURE FIXATION PLATE MADE BY INJECTION MOLDING PROCESS IS HEREIN DESCRIBED. SAID METHOD COMPRISES THE STEPS OF: A) MIXING (50-70 VOL%) METAL POWDERS WITH POLYMER BINDERS AND LUBRICANTS AT 160°C FOR 2 HOURS TO FORM HOMOGENEOUS PASTE; B) DRYING SAID MIXTURE IN (A) TO OBTAIN A COMPOUNDED MASS; C) GRANULATING SAID COMPOUNDED MASS IN (B); D) FORMING PELLETS FROM SAID COMPOUNDED MASS IN (C); E) INJECTION-MOLDING SAID PELLETS AT A TEMPERATURE BETWEEN 150°C 250°C TO PRODUCE A DESIRABLE MOULDED BODY; F) REMOVING BINDERS FROM SAID MOULDED BODY IN (E) BY SOLVENT EXTRACTION FOLLOWED BY THERMAL PYROLYSIS; G) SINTERING SAID MOULDED BODY IN (F) AT TEMPERATURE BETWEEN 1300°C 1400°C ; AND, H) POLISHING OF SAID SINTERED BODY. SAID METAL FRACTURE FIXATION PLATE IS SUITABLE FOR ORTHOPEDIC USE.
