<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operating method of a water heater, reducing the amount of hot water remaining in a hot water storage tank to suppress an energy loss from the hot water storage tank. <P>SOLUTION: This operating method of the water heater 10 has: the hot water storage tank 15 having a water supply port 11 on its bottom section, and a hot water supply port 12 on its ceiling section, and receiving a heat exchanging section 14 inside of the bottom section to heat the water by a heat medium heated by a solar heat collecting section 13; and a heating source 19 for heating the water taken out from the bottom section of the hot water storage tank 15 and storing the hot water in the hot water storage tank 15. A temperature A determined from outside air temperature data of the latest past few days, and a temperature region data in which smaller hot water storage amount is forecasted and determined according to the increase of the temperature A, are compared, the hot water storage amount B corresponding to the temperature A is determined as an actual hot water storage amount stored in the hot water storage tank 15, and further the hot water storage amount C smaller than the hot water storage amount B is determined as the actual hot water storage amount to store hot water of the actual hot water storage amount in the hot water storage tank 15, when the weather based on weather data is "shiny". <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
