<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an outdoor unit and a method of manufacturing the same, capable of mounting and demounting an electrical equipment module in safety. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This outdoor unit 11 includes a casing 30, an electrical equipment module 35 having a power element 56a and disposed on a prescribed mounting position in the casing 30, a refrigerant jacket 37 thermally connected with the power element 56a and cooling the power element 56a by a refrigerant, a first engagement member 71 disposed on the electrical equipment module 35, and a second engagement member 81 disposed on a partitioning plate 39, and capable of sliding and moving the first engagement member 71 to guide the electrical equipment module 35 between a separating position where the electrical equipment module 35 and the refrigerant jacket 37 are separated from each other, and the mounting position.
