<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display system, an imaging device and a display device which can easily be operated. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The display system 1 includes: the imaging device (document camera) 2 which has an imaging means 21 and transmits a picked-up image obtained by the imaging means 21; and the display device (projector) 3 which displays the picked-up image. Wherein, the imaging device 2 includes: an input means 24 of allowing an input operation; an imaging-side determination means (state determination unit) 261 which determines whether imaging by the imaging means 21 is possible; and a transmission means (transmission unit) 267 transmitting operation information corresponding to the input operation when the imaging-side determination means 261 determines that the imaging is impossible. and the display device 3 includes: a display-side determination means of determining whether the imaging is possible: an operation information acquisition means of acquiring the operation information when the display-side determination means determines that the imaging is not possible; and a display-side execution means of performing processing corresponding to the operation information.
