<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital broadcast receiving apparatus capable of reliably acquiring program information. <P>SOLUTION: When startup day/time such as an early bird timer is set, a television receiver 100 starts reception of a broadcast signal including program information data earlier than a startup time in the startup date/time by a predetermined time. In this way, all the broadcast information can be surely acquired before the startup of the television receiver 100. Thus, when the television receiver 100 starts up, program information data for eight days is stored in an EPG memory 134b, and preferable program viewing and prompt video recording reservation is possible immediately after the start-up. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
