PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical information recording medium capable of enhancing recording speed.

SOLUTION: A recording layer 101 of the optical information recording medium 100 has properties of increasing a light absorption amount with respect to the wavelength of a recording light beam L2C as recording light by irradiation with light (a light absorption change amount is large). The optical information recording medium 100 absorbs the recording light beam L2C condensed upon recording of information according to the wavelength and increases the temperature in the vicinity of a focus Fb to form a recording mark RM.
