<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector capable of making the deformation of an outer casing caused by the load of a projector body almost the same, when the projector is normally placed and when the projector is hung down from the ceiling, while simplifying structure. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The projector 1 forms an image corresponding to image information and projects it. The projector 1 includes: the outer casing 2 which constitutes an exterior; a supporting leg 4 which is attached to the bottom surface part 22 of the outer casing 2 and comes into contact with an installation surface, when the projector 1 is placed on the installation surface; a handle 5 which is attached to the top surface part 21 of the outer casing 2 and used when the projector 1 is installed in such a state that it is hung down; and a connection frame 6 which connects a first attachment part for attaching to the bottom surface part 22 in the supporting leg 4 and a second attachment part 51 for attaching to the top surface part 21 in the handle 5.
