<p>A random number generation circuit is provided with a MTJ (magnetic tunnel junction) element which can be in a high resistance state corresponding to a first logical value, and can be in a low resistance state corresponding to a second logical value which is different from the first logical value; and a control circuit which provides the MTJ element either with a first current to stochastically reverse the MTJ element from the high resistance state to the low resistance state when the MTJ element is in the high resistance state, or with a second current to stochastically reverse the MTJ element from the low resistance state to the high resistance state when the MTJ element is in the low resistance state.</p> |
